i was just wondering if anyone's tried this, and how it sounds....
i'm thinking about going to an exhaust place, and getting a straight pipe made for my cooper, and i was wondering if it sounded decent, and if it will add anything in performance. i would be going from the cat back most likely, and going with 2". unless anyone has experience with other, and can recomend otherwise....
also: kinda a dumb question, but for some reason i thought about it last night when trying to fall asleep....since both the miata and the mini have a 1.6L engine, woudl it be possible to get a FI kit for the miata and stuff it into the mini engine bay? lol.
i know it's a dumb and completely random question, but i do know they're both 1.6s, and i know that the miata has a lot of space in the engine bay, and the mini not so much....but i didn't know if anyone had this idea before....
First, you will lose power at the bottom end...IT IS LOUD..really loud, and it sounds like garbage. Here is a sound bite of mine. I bought the car wrecked, and wanted to keep it driveable, but leave the rear subframe and floor area accessible, so I cut the pipe in front of the gas tank and tacked on a turndown. When the frame work is done, I am putting a real exhaust system back on it. Ok, so it sounds kinda cool in the vid, but believe me, its LOUD
