Loser stole my Dual Action Polisher

well...I guess I forgot to close my garage door last night. When I got up 5 am, went out for walk, I noticed my garage door was open, so I close the door, went out for walk. After came home, I checked my garage, I noticed small light was on, then found out that some looser stole my portercable dual action polisher, dremel toolkit, lather jacket, bunch of ATA hard drives, external drives, and Meguiar's brand new MF towels
It was my fault left the door open, but I am soooo "MAD".

My Cooper and 4 Runner were untouched, that was only good thing...shhhh..

Sorry to hear about that.

Start by checking out the swap meets. Most stolen stuff like that ends up there

Thank you Earl,

I guess I have to check local swap meet(s) after Christmas.
I know my DA has distinctive scraches on black plastic, and velcro backing pad is larger than Meguiar's backing pad.
Dremel tool, Leather Jacket and other computer hardwares are no big deal, but Meguiar's new MF towels....

Oh Toshi!!! I'm soooooooooooo sorry!!!!!! That is just terrible!!!! Did you file a police report????

I bet it was neighbor who helped himself. He probably sees you cleaning your MINI all the time. Sounds similar to the time when somebody entered our house through a broken sliding door and helped himself/herself to my Sega Dreamcast--police found finger prints, but never did tell me anything worthwhile. Doesnt' hurt to file a report to make a record of it.

I called Lomita Sheriff department, and filed report.
Sheriff told me that stolen tools often ended up at local pawnshops.

That just sucks. I had my Mini car cover stolen and my wifes car "keyed" this month . If I had caught either one in the act they would be severely maimed and I would probably be in jail. I REALLY hate people who steal/vandalize other peoples stuff. I say we go back to the cowboy days as a deterrent. Hang 'em in the town square!

If you want to replace that Porter Cable, this would be a good time -- Lowes has them on sale for about $80.

Can't you make a claim against your homeowners insurance for stuff like that? I think I have a theft provision in my policy.

To the guy who mentioned having his wife's car keyed...that would make me flip my freaking lid, and then I'd move.

check out the link below to see what they do to potential car jackers in South Africa...make sure you check out the movie. We need stuff like this in the US. Maybe they can enable the device by the sound of keys being scratched on the surface of your paint...

Sheriff told me that I could claim home owners insurance, but he also mentioned that it might end up higher insurance rate

Yep, that's how I got mine last year--it was a great buy!
