This forum is dedicated to the owners & fanciers of pre new MINI's. Classic's really. It has nothing to do with the folks at Classic MINI that have screwed up your order.

Crap, gotta change my name to Not-so-rednwhite-or-darksilvernwhite-but-electricbluenblackcooper.
Hopefully, Classic MINI will find some solution that you can live with. Maybe they have a used BMW on the lot that they can lend out as a loaner until your correct MINI can be ordered and delivered? Worth asking for. . .
The letters M I N I in all caps tells people that you are talking about the 2002 and newer MINI
M i n i with only M or all lower case tells people that you are talking about the english designed Classic Mini.
Thus if you say "Classic MINI" you are talking about the dealer in Ohio. If you say "Classic Mini" you are talking about the car from say the 1960's

Thought I'd give an update here as to how everything was resolved when the CVT Mini I ordered turned out to be a manual transmission.
I felt I really didn't have a choice but to take the manual instead of re-ordering a CVT since I didn't have a car for the last three months & couldn't wait another 2+ months for a new Mini to come in as I originally spec'ed it. So I took the manual. In the end, the Classic Mini dealership did everything they could to make up for the error. My MA especially, Mike Synder, was excellent throughout the whole process of ordering, delivering, etc. I have renewed faith in Classic & will continue to work with them & suggest their dealership to others.
As for me & my Mini, we're getting along just great! Have made several little mods to it & I couldn't be happier with it. At times I may wish I didn't have to bother with shifting, but I am having fun with the manual transmission. And it really does become very "automatic" (if you'll excuse the pun) after a while.
My thanks to everyone on this forum for all their advice, support & help. You're all awesome!

Everyone makes mistakes. A good dealer is one that makes as few as possible and when they DO make a mistake a good dealership will do whatever it takes (within reason, of course) to make it right.
I'm glad this worked out for you. And well done, Classic MINI.
