Hi..everybody....after MED came to the rescue with proper clutch to flywheel bolts I have fitted flywheel to engine......
so its just need to be fitted to engine bay weather permitting as heavt rain is dur to hit us all weekend......lol
Hi...I was hopeing to install the engine in the car today But rain stopped play (no Garage)...so I test fitted all the ancileries on the engine so to check for problems.....so far so good.......
will try tomorrow rain permitting....lol
good news it was a dry day today and I removed the rad and altanator and fitted engine into Bay.........
still a lot to do.....fit fuel reg and new fuel line to front of engine.....refit servo and bleed brakes.........refit exhaust....put oil in....and waterless coolant......
Hi..did a little more on engine bay today....between the rain drops.....I got engine turning over to build up a good oil pressure....then I installed the masterservo and connected up the brake pipes and remade a new vacum hose for servo as this needed to go to front of engine....fitted new rad and plumbed it in ready for waterless coolant, fitted exhaust Y piece, then the rain came down in force so nit quite there.......all I need to do is run a new fuel line fro fuel regulator to front of engine to connect up to carbs install carbs and throttle cable, choke cable,.............
I managed to get a shorter top steady arm from a good friend......and fitted it....
and also got her started and running.......see video link below http://s182.photobucket.com/user/mk1...c1o97.mp4.html
still need to sort a few bits.......
when its finished I will use it.....thats what its for to use..............and drive......Living on a small Island of 45sq miles I get a ferry to france once a year.......and the roads are long and no traffic on them.........

Good to hear Mr. mk1leg, garage queens are so dull.
a little update.......having a few problems with carbs leaking petrol so I emailed the supplier in Holland and hes agreed to send another set of carbs to JERSEY so as soon s they arrive I will fit them .....so for now I fitted these new head light units.......
a quick up date for you as I installed new set of carbs and started engine I heard a rather bad knocking from engine so yesterday and today I stripped the clutch housing down and found that the flywheel was loose....
so bad was the damage that I have had to order a new set up from MED £150....will keep you posted
well good news I now have a new flywheel thanks to MED....I finally got everything back on and in place with the help from Lewis and after 2 hours trying to set the timing at 8.30pm she finally started.....But I will have to wait till morning to get her finally running properly....lol
Hi..everybody....I think its all sorted I spoke to the chap in Holland and after a long chat we kind of sorted the noises out......Thankfully this time its not the verto clutch (touch wood) and I reset all the valve to rockers gaps and then took her for a long drive.......so tomorrow will be attending Our local clubs monthly meet and this will see if everything running.....will try and take a video .................
Hopefully all little niggles are now sorted.........the test will be when I take her to Normandy in France for some long straight uncluttered roads.....
