Madness Autoworks 1967 Morris Mini Woody Wagon
Here at MADNESS Autoworks, we love creating unique projects with unique cars. We are building a performance based Morris Mini Woody Wagon here at our shop, designed to be a car to take out on Auto X and other light tracks days to have lots of fun in! Still a work in progress, we are unavailing our hard work and dedication at the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas as a Turbo By Garrett (by Honeywell) Feature Vehicle as well as the Los Angeles International Auto Show.
The doors getting filed down for the panels.
The heart and soul of the Woody Wagon; Honda B16 motor Turbocharged with a Turbo By Garrett GTX3067R. Looking to push out close to 500 HP!
Big thank you to Turbo By Garrett for supporting our project with an agressive GTX-R Turbocharger!
Steering column and wheel installed earlier this week.
After getting sanded down by hand and bathed in acid, we are set for paint after some other components come together.
Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer and closer to completing a unique blend of performance and Classic Mini!

We replaced the rear sliding windows with a sheet of metal with our company logo engraved. A colorful display of LED lights brings the logo alive!
A few more adjustments to the Magnaflow Exhaust being done.
Our gauges have finally arrived! We chose the American Muscle Collection to really tie in the classic steam punk vibe. Huge thanks to Auto Meter for supporting our SEMA build!
Close up of a gauge.
We have lowered the Mini to give it an aggressive stance look and feel. We have also replaced the floor and coated the interior with Lizard Skin. Looking forward to getting the seats in, which will be upholstered with brown leather.
Big thank you to Our sponsors Turbo By Garrett and Auto Meter for support with our project. If you are attending the SEMA show, please make sure to drop by and say hello. We will be at the Garrett feature car booth. For the LA Auto Show, we will be at Kentia hall, right in the middle.

We are going for a Steam Punk Theme.
For the paint we prepped and sealed the surface rust and also custom matched the newer panels we had to put on. Then the entire body was lizard skinned inside and clear coated on the outside.

Last Day
We're getting close to the finish line!
Here's what's left for the day:
Wrap the headers and the exhaust
Complete front suspension
Complete engine covers
Weld new under car trim panels
Install the shifter mechanism
Mount the dash
Install doors / handles / mirrors
Install weather stripping
Install carpeting
Install Shift Linkage
Install Throttle Cable
Connect LED Lighting
Take care of all fluids
Bleed the brake system
While this may sound like a couple weeks of work for some, our goal is to get this all done today.
We'll keep you updated!

After a week of very long hours our team did a fantastic job in turning an abandoned, rusted out Mini Shell in to a wild build that has never been done before.
However, at the very last minute hours before the Mini was to be loaded on to a trailer and sent off to SEMA the owner of MADNESS Autoworks called off the transport and made the decision to hold off the reveal until the Los Angeles International Autoshow.
He stated the following: "Unless everything is 100% on the car and the car is completed to our level of fit, finish and overall quality it will not be released. We will not compromise our reputation on showing a project that is 99.9% finished. If it is not 100% it will not go."
We will get more pics and details up in the days ahead and then show you the final reveal once everything is 100% complete.
I did snap some pictures of it for you guys.

We have a good relationship with Garrett, it was our decision at the last minute because it was not 100% ready to our satisfaction. Unless the car drivable and complete, it will not be shown. Now that it is, we are displaying it at the LA Auto Show and we will be displaying it at SEMA next year along with a lot other shows.
