Rear Quarter Window Trim remove

Hello,
First post here and need some help. I have a 1962 Austin Mini I put on an MR2 chassis so it is mid engine. I have the rear quarter windows that pop open, but I need to make them open the way up to get access to the engine. I got a little cylinder lock and keyset that will work and I can get some plexiglass so I can drill it and make it work. I just do not want to break the trim when taking it off as I can not seem to find any anywhere to buy if I mess it up.

I see that it has the two screws in the rear hold the latch handle part on. I see that is has 2 on the top of the hindge and 2 on the bottom and took out all of those. It still do not move so I am not sure how to remove the glass. Once out I will use it as template to make a plexi one.

I have it almost done after 2 years of working it and it should be painted soon so I wanted to have this done before that is done.

Thanks for the help.

Troy, I'm not sure I'm understanding you question correctly, but if you're trying to remove the window there are screws in behind the rubber window seal that hold the hinge to the body, pull the seal back and you should see the screws....

If that isn't it, post up a pic of what you're trying to do and we'll see if we can help you.

You should also post up a build thread showing how you built your car - I'd love to see it!

The rear quarter window is out with the trim around it and the hinge connected to it. So it is off the car now. I also took the two screws off around the flip hinge in the back and the front hinge that would screw on to the body has 4 screws in it on the top of that hinge and bottom of that hinge. I took all those out and I think it will just pry off, but I want to make sure as I can not find a replacement for those trim pieces. I want to take out the glass and replace it with plexiglass so I can drill a hole in it so I can make it open all the way up instead of using the hinge that is on it now.

I have a build blog that I put up with how I did it if anyone is interested.

I figured it out. It just took more force than I was willing to give at first as the glass was really stuck in there. It is out and plexiglass ordered.
