My third Mini is coming... to join Sprog II in my driveway (no, I am NOT selling Sprog II, don't ask, )...

Its a 1978 Austin Mini 1000... I think... we think it may be newer... but its so hard to tell. Maybe someone can answer that question... here's a link to some pics on my club site:

Congrats!

In a year or so, I hope to have enough money saved up for a classic Mini. Hopefully a little older, but similar to your new aquistion. I'm hoping to find one in blue w/white roof to match JerseyGirl's MCS.

Sarcux,

Now you need to assume another NAM username-
3minis!

Nice classic red mini!

How come only one lower red light in the back on the right?
Is that a british thing?

... that's called a "Rear Fog Light" !

Look through your old R&T's and C-and- D's and you'll see ad's in the back for Cibie and Marchal aftermarket kits for those - good idea, they might even catch on!

If this is the original UK licence plate the "S" at the end signifies that it was registered between the 1st Aug 1978 and the 31st July 1979. Hope that helps

I actually do wanna get a hitch for II for road trips - get a teardrop trailer!

Sorry I haven't responded in awhile... been busy... 6 days after I got it, the head gasket finally blew and I cracked the head in 2 places. So, I'll be putting it back together tomorrow night, hopefully!

3minis would be funny - but I sold Sprog I. Oh well.

Turns out its a 1990/1991 Rover Mini Mayfair. The plates are a good ruse. Heehee. Registered as a 1978 though, and someone removed the Mayfair badge. I wanna find another one - anyone have one?

I'll get pics of II and III together. I love RHD, I wanna get II converted to it...
