I'll be happy to field test it for you. You know... if you like. Anything to... erm... help.

At least that would give you a reason to pull the head off your MINI.
Nice head, but it looks like you'd have to cut a big honking hole in the bonnet for those Weber's to stick through. Probably costs the Queen's ransom too.
If it's similar to the AKM / Minisport cylinder head, they say that one will fit under a standard bonnet. The Arden 8 port is the one that requires bonnet modification.
* unless you're driving a clubman.
No prices yet. I've seen it posted 3 places now. It'll be interesting to see how it measures up to the Minisport price (I think £1400 (approx 2300USD?) or so for the basic head ready to go - minus carbs of course). Since this one is aluminum my guess is over 3 grand, which would put it in Arden 8 port territory I think.
I had dual webers on my '71 Datsun 510. They were cool looking, but in 1980, I lacked the resources to properly set up the 2-litre engine and consequently, the previous carb., a Weber 32/36 DGV downdraft, out-performed the twins. I'd guess a pair of 45 DCOEs today would set you back $1200?
Hmm... back to Minis--I sure like my ecu-controlled Vtec.
