When I started my car for the first time in 18 months, the heater control valve on the engine leaked. When I went to tighten the new control valve the back stud broke (see pics).
Before I start doing anything with it....
Is this a stud that is screwed into the block that can be unscrewed?
Will it have to be drilled out and be tapped for a new stud?
Any information before I jump into this would be useful......
Figured it out... Once I got over the shock of breaking something on the engine in the last stretch of finishing my rebuild project, I figure out it was a stud and I had enough left to back it out...
Whew...that was close!! Glad you were able to coax that nasty bolt out!!
