Thanks!
That's almost got me sold. Good grief. Didn't know that was possible.
It sure helps with the horsepower and torque. Am I correct in presuming that as you have a relatively modern ECU operating that there's at least a nominal improvement in fuel economy and emissions?
This conversion is NOT cheap as there is a lot of maching of block and its approx £3-4000 .............MiniMagazine had an article on this conversion earlier this year...........
I have a K1100 head that I'm hoping to use for the conversion whenever I get the time. There are a couple different heads that will work some 2 valve per cylinder and others 4, the one I have is 4. There is quite a lot to it but I looked into Jack Knight and KAD twin cam conversions and this was closer to my budget.

Well a Jack Knight or KAD head conversion is cheaper then a BMW head as these do not need oil and water ways to be altered they just bolt straight on to a 1275-1380 block.......job done............

Good point, though I haven't found a reasonably priced unit compared to what I spent for the BMW head and the machine work is no problem since I have access to machine shop. It's been a while since I've seen a KAD or JK in the States, any idea what you can get one for now days?
