Well Cab, you have a couple of options here... either change your shirt (that's the easy option), ignore the stain (also easy), make up some creepy comment befitting April Fool's Day (like..."this is the blood of the last fool that mentioned I had a stain"), OR... (heh heh heh)... take MORE tomato sauce and place it strategically on different parts of your shirt- make patterns... "smilie" faces (and you have a bunch to chose from, lol)... and then wear an expression of either "I'm about to go on Jerry Springer" or "out to lunch" and see what happens!

The stuff to use on varnished wood without the use of sandpaper is called "Liquid Sandpiper" made by Kwik???...anyway Hubby is really into this stuff and wants to try it on the Laundry Room Cabinets first, because no one but ME sees those!! We'll keep you updated on how it works, going to get some this weekend I think.

It's not a GREAT big deal, but I don't think I will EVER hear the word "barista" without adding "sexy" to it, and thinking of YOU!

(odd, but this is the same link I inserted earlier...Hm...wonder why it didn't work before.)

Hey all, just stopped by to say hello and miss you all...

I just read the last two pages, construction all over the place. Well I will add my bit, our washer broke last weekend, I think I over used it during the unemployment days... (doesn't that sound funny?) and so my washer is in peices as hubby has to order the part to put it back together, supposed to arrive in about a week! this washer is only 5 years old!!! ugh.

anyway yesterday was a nice day and when i left work it said it was in the 70's so I got to drop my top and play my ipod and enjoy the ride home!!!

The job is just ok still, nothing special and still interviewing others. I went to one tonight and will have a phone interview tomorrow.... oh well making the best of it....

hope everyone is well and miss talking all day.

Hey MINIxB- Did you get all of your work done on your baby the other day? I know you mentioned you had some free time and some new loot. How'd it go? Sorry, I meant to ask about it earlier. I was thinking about it though... that should count for something, right? I wish I knew how to work on Classic Mini's... 'cause I'd really love to have one. I envy you. Just wondering... where IS Autobot City Earth? Kansas? Are you a storm chaser?

Supertramp... after the group? Welcome.

Hey Gem- Sorry you're not likin' the job.

I thought TNMM had posted that LED video before... ... do I have Alzheimer's? I thought there was a whole big conversation about sheep and little hearts or something? And long-lost relatives... riding horses through the drive thru... . Was I on a bad trip somewhere?

**QUESTION** I see that this is POST #999 for me. Is POST #1000 the SPECIAL ONE? The one that gives me access to the special 6th GEAR LOUNGE?? I decided to use EDIT and add to this post until I find out for sure. I don't want to give my flower to some indiscriminate post. I want it to be SPECIAL... I want it to MEAN something!

TNMM- I didn't want to make UhOh feel bad... but I was thinking I must have really missed something back there!

'kay- g'night!

Nope, someone else got to it before me. I did however pick out some neat looking wood with some neat looking worm holes in it. A freind of mine that worked with me at this saw mill is a master wood worker. I ordered a set of plans form The New Yankee Workshop for the chimney cupboard.

The wood is pine that was grown in Pinellas county. We use it as a pantry in our dining room. This picture is from the NYW website.

Nice Hal! Simple Shaker style. When you guys say "worms" are you referring to "powder post beatle?" creates tiny little pin prick holes? If you are, make sure they aren't active - those buggers can cause some serious issues for your "good" furniture if not!

The wood sat in a drying barn for about a year and a half. What is amusing, after we moved from Florida to Tennessee, we noticed that one of the shelves looked like it had active termite damage. We immediately moved it out of the house to my workshop and tented it for about two weeks. Afterwards we finally put some satin finish polyurathane on it. Haven't seen any other activity on it since, but I'll keep an eye out for it.

FWIW, I helped cut this lumber in an antique sawmill located in a historical park in St. Pete, FL.

uh oh - I noticed in an earlier post your mom was traveling from Ohio. Are you a Buckeye? I'm originally from Delaware, just above Columbus.
