Alec Issigonis and Downton built this specially tuned Mini Cooper for their friend Enzo Ferrari, shown below with the man himself in a couple of interesting old photos:-

I'd wager that other designers had the same reaction.

I like the changes to lights... subtle but cool. I have never seen that before

I guess Enzo DOES have the cred to call the Mini "ugly"... Love those lights - surprised no-one has made a MOD piece with that configuration in the past - I'd do that conversion.

I don't follow.
"per post" is that to mean this is Enzo's old Mini?

I'm not so sure I like all those larger lights cluttering up the front end like that.
It is different, though.

Very different indeed. Don't recall ever seeing a configuration like that on any Mini before. I too wonder what happened to this Mini.
Enzo probably owned a Fiat 600 as well.

when you think about it, i doubt enzo would buy any mini. it is probably custom built, and that would explain not seeing those lights that often.

Dr. Dave,
It is I who owe you an apology. I'm so dense. I suffer from tunnel vision at times and never looked at anything except that Mini. Duh! Yeah, that is an Enzo in the background.
Sorry. All clear.

Is that a Toyota next to an Enzo?
That is the oddest array of cars ever. A C4 Corvette, Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari Enzo, Toyota Corolla, and a Mini. Unique.

Got to love "Cars and Coffee"... Has to be the best weekly car show ever. Some day I am going out to Cali just for that.
