OK folks, here is the lowdown on the Leprechaun Run if you have never
done one before:
1. Get festive if you would like to. Dress yourself & your MINI in
whatever St. Patrick's Day costume you would like. There will be a
prize for the best dressed motorer & MINI.
2. Take a nice long back roads drive in Northern Kentucky with your
fellow motoring buddies. By the way, Kentucky is THE place for twisty
back roads with low traffic & very few stop signs.
3. Catch Cabbage Lips O'Grady. Bring a co-pilot and have them take the
quiz as you motor along. The one with the most questions correct at
the end gets to take home Cab for an entire year.
I have put together most of the route for the run. The entire route is
just under 85 miles. It will have two sections. The first section will
be about 50 miles. We will stop in Falmouth, KY at the end of the
first section and enjoy some ice cream at Dairy Queen. The final
section is about 35 miles and we will end the run at our final
destination which is "The Pub" in Crestview Hills for a proper St.
Patrick's Day celebration.
The drive itself should take a total of two and a half hours including
the ice cream break. We will meet at 2PM, roll out by 2:30PM and
should arrive at "The Pub" in Crestview Hills at approximately 5PM.
The route this year is shorter than the last couple of years and the
final destination is right back in Northern Kentucky instead of way
south in Williamstown like years past. This should make for a much
more user friendly event and still give us plenty of driving fun.
