Track Event, 6/24/2006 Rockton IL.

Salt Creek Sports Car Club, a Member of the Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs, is hosting a Time Attack / High speed Autocross at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Rockton Illinois on Saturday June 24. This is a time trials event where you run against the clock on the track. Stock MCS will generally not exceed 100 mph.

A STOCK MINI or MCS can run with STOCK safety equipment, (and a Snell 1995 or later helmet). You need to show your state drivers license. (ticket reciepts don't count!)

A car with more than 2 points is required to have a 4 point harness. A Schroth Quickfit labled for a MINI on a STOCK seat is acceptable.

Rear Sway bar = 1 point.
Cat back exhaust mod = 1 point.
Intake change = 1 point.
Tires with a Wear rating less than 140 = 3 points.

There are 4 MINI's that show up regularly, and in April we had 8 at Autobahn Country Club track.

For more information, check out
http://www.mcscc.org/

The TA rules are also on line at:
http://autocross.mcscc.org/competition/comprules.php

Please read the rules before you come. The rules are NOT the same as low speed (parking lot) autocross!

If after reading the rules, you have questions, you can email the question to
axtech@mcscc.org up through Thursday evening.

Time Attack Autocross tech inspection is open Friday night, and Saturday Morning.

You can register on line at myautoevents.com, or in person at the track.

John
