Patrick Mini

Just want to say that I was very impressed with the service department had my MC out for its first year service.

A good place if you ask me.

Can't say the same.

I just went through my first year maintenance experience with Patrick. I don't know if I'll go back.
A couple of weeks before I went in, I started having a slow leak problem with one of my tires. I told the service desk about it and they said they'd check it out. After rotating my tires, I was told that it was a calibration issue and it was corrected. Excuse me, I have a tire that's loosing pressure and it's a calibration problem?
Needless to say a day later that same tire was low. When I took it to Firestone, I was told that the tire had a nail in it and it was pretty obvious. They also noticed that my other tires were way overinflated. What the...
Patrick "service": lazy, incompetent or both?!?!

Took my MINI to Patrick for an oil change. I mentioned to the guy that the TPS is constantly going off no matter what the temperature is outside. Advised that I filled the tires up to spec and that the TPS is still going off. When I went to pick the car up they said that they filled up the tires and it's okay. Not more than 1 min after I drove off the lot the damn thing went off again. I'd expect better service from MINI/BMW. Going back this weekend to hopefully have the TPS sensors looked at and fixed.

So I filled out a survey regarding my appointment this morning. Was completely honest with how dissatisfied I was. No more than 10 min later they called back. They wanted to pick up my car, leave me a loaner, and fix the TPS system for me. They looked at the car and said that they fixed it and drove it and it is fine. They said that they don't think they reset it properly. So we will see what happens since I'm at work and haven't had a chance to drive her yet.

Yeah, I have to reset it at least 5 times a day. LOL So I'm driving home last night and what do you know. The thing comes back on. I'm going to call them again today and hopefully it will get fixed the 3rd time taking it there.

So I'm not too happy with Patrick at all. Got an email from the General Manager asking if the service crew was addressing my issue. I replied that they were, but I also let him know that it's not normal for this light to come on EVERY time I drive the car. Anyway, I asked for him to contact me and it's been a few days and I haven't gotten a call back. So I called the service department today and left a message for Matt as he asked me to call him if I was still having problems. Well guess what, he never called back either. I'm going to call them in the morning. I got better service at my Subaru dealership, this is not what I expected from MINI/BMW.

The fact that their head mechanic stayed late to make sure my car would be finished by tomorrow is amazing. The staff is always friendly when I go there. The service staff is very knowledgeable and have always been willing to go the extra mile to answer my questions as well as getting the job done right. I vote thumbs up for Patrick.

So........I have been in contact with Matt at Patrick for the last few weeks or so. He has given me a loaner car on several occasions while they fix my car. First they resealed the tires and that didn't fix the problem. Now they are apparently checking for wiring issues. The car has been at the dealership all day yesterday and so far the whole day today. I haven't heard back yet from them but I did leave a message for Matt. So Patrick Mini has gone from a thumbs down to a halfway thumbs up. If I get my car back and that damn light doesn't come on anymore it will be a !! But big props to them for making my into a so far!

I'd say I'm quite happy with Bill Jacobs service...

First service trip: Fixed the famous window programming problem right the first time and it has stayed fixed. Loaned a nice BMW 5 something (with the turbo v6!).

Second trip: Got an appointment on fairly short notice; Two minor things that only happen once in a while and they fixed them both. Loaned a nice MCSa convertible over a weekend with perfect weather.

I purchased my Mini from a private party while under warranty. Took it to Patrick to have their contact info updated. While at Patrick I noticed some stuff not working. Pointed it out and they took care of it. I'd say I had a good experience with them.

Up to this past Friday, they were great.

Driving back from getting a haircut this afteroon, I flipped open my ash tray to donate to the Northwestern Dance Marathon volunteers that are around Old Orchard. My ziplock back full of coins was gone!

It was only about $3 worth of coins, but I am going to call the General Manager tomorrow. This is unprofessional and completely unacceptable. The MINI was sitting in my driveway all weekend, and Patrick was the only other place I have been, so it couldn't have been anyone else.

Would a tech risk losing his/her job for $3?

I would hope not, but I don't know if it was the tech? Maybe it was the porter or the guys in car wash? It's anyone's guess...........

They have been great up to this point. I just couldn't believe it. The service manager was more than accomodating and was understanding. I will give them another chance for being nice about it. I won't let one bad apple ruin the great service I received in the past.
