Call your insurance company. They typically will cover repair of this for free of charge as preventative maintenance since it costs less than a full windshield replacement.

Glenview IL, 60026

Look for the shop with all the VW/Audi outside.

This is fairly close to home.. was wondering if anyone else has been here?

Main problem is, I need to get my AC & Heater diagnosed, as my heat doesn't work in winter and my AC doesn't work in summer. How miserable to have such a car in Chicago. Stage I fan isn't coming on, I bought a new radiator fan in case it's the resistor that went bad, haven't installed it yet. PS fan is about two years old, still works.

I live on the northside of Chicago, Glenview is right across the street, so Mobile one seems appealing.

I have been to HWM before, excellent work.

Anyone been to VFC? I see they have a 24 month/24,000 mile warranty on their work, does anyone else offer such a warranty?

I was wondering where I can get a reasonable price as well as some sort of service warranty, if anyone knows of these places!

Thanks!

Euro Shop: Lake Villa

When I had my 05 S I always took it there, and when my new MINI goes off warranty it'll go there too (but hopefully not too often).

Glenn is knowledgable and fair; we never had a problem he couldn't figure out.

Mehta Motors in Elmhurst RECOMMENDED

-- just had a VERY positive experience there this week ... and I do most of my own maintenance as long as I don't need an auto-lift --

If your MINI has an issue, and you live in the near-west 'burbs, I now take my work to Mehta Motors in Elmhurst ... they know MINIs and BMWs, did a great job on a routine top-strut-plate replacement AND in diagnosing a really nasty misfire that threw about fourteen CEL codes -- and they kept the bill VERY reasonable, both parts and labor.
Second-gen-family business; the locals who take their cars there are loyal and satisfied repeat customers.

Highly recommended.

Muffler in the city?

Hey All!

Thanks for all the previous responses in this thread.

Was curious if anyone has any favorites in the city? Been to Mini of Chicago and found the pricing to be absurd on several quotes.

Need to replace a muffler on a 2002 standard Cooper.

Thanks!
