I got a MINI loaner from them before. You need to check for availability.

I just had a power steering pump and fan replaced at European Car Auto in Evergreen Park. South Suburb. Great work and fast Bruno knows his stuff.

I've always heard that Patrick is the best, my best friend always goes there and never has any problems.

My father had a terrible experience with Bill Jacobs (he brought is '02 Z3M [bought it at the Chicago Toy Store] in for warranty work when his top and doorlocks became inop; someone took it out for an eighty-mile joyride, the service manager refused to even acknowledge the increase in mileage). Patrick's been surprisingly good to my mother and her Jag VDP. I don't trust any dealership or their service department, personally.

I did drive up to Waukegan to drop by The Rover Shop and I second everyone's positive sentiments about them. Glenn is an awesome guy, despite being relatively busy, he took the time out to talk about the car and it's weaknesses. I was able to do my LCA bushings relatively painlessly thanks to his advice. If I'd followed the Haynes manual, it would have been much tougher.

Euroquipe used to be outstanding. key words are, used to be. i will never tell anyone to go there after they screwed me last summer after being a 4 year customer.

if anyone is in the naperville, plainfield, oswego, aurora or surrounding areas are looking for great labor prices on any mini work, give me a call at 331-472-4248. my buddy and i have opened a shop, Swift Autoworks. we work on anything and also do killer detailing. i currently have motor and trans out of my 04 cooper s doing all new engine gaskets and clutch and flywheel. from stock stuff to aftermarket we can do it!

can anyone recommend a local alignment shop? I am trying to get my car setup with specific alignment specs for AutoX.

Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks!

Agreed, as long as you don't plan on buying parts from them. I'm 0/2 on receiving a few parts I've ordered from their 'MINI parts counter'. The order always seems to 'get lost'.

Go to MINI Chicago for parts.

Mobile One Inc, I have always taken my Mini there, Jay knows his stuff on all foreign cars, he mainly does VW/Audi but he knows his stuff when it comes to the Mini. He also has a dyno there.

Mobile One Inc
2010 Lehigh Ave. Unit F
Glenview IL, 60026

Look for the shop with all the VW/Audi outside.

bummer wish i had seen this sooner.

went in to a free inspection clinic and was told that a seal has dried out near the thermostat and that part alone isn't available so the whole unit needs to be swapped out. I'm thinking no prob, the thermostat kit is only ~$40, right? Somehow with labor this turns out to be $$$ :(

IMO, Patrick is the only place to go. I've heard nothing but bad things about mini Chicago's service!

Anyone used this shop recently? I bought a 2009 MINI last week I live about 2 blocks from this place, so it'd be convenient if I needed work done...

i am very happy with Knauz Auto in Lake Bluff, IL on hwy 41

they provide loaners, or will rent you a car, or provide shuttle service for maintenance appointments

the only service i have had is the temp sensor recall on my 2012 cms all4

my dad's cms all4 has also had the temp sensor recall plus an oil/filter change (low miles, annual change)

they have been spectacular on parts, lowest price on oil (by the case), oil filters (buy 4 or more at a time), beating the online shops and auto parts stores (autozone, napa etc)

i bought checkerd mirror covers (all 3 mirrors) and Knauz beat all the internet shops on price

my dad has been a long time customer, i think 6 cars, counting his mini, and the family count is 7 counting my mini

Patrick is great.

I had my first experience with Patrick Mini and love them. I came in for a leaky tire and they gave me an oil change, washed the car and charged me 30 bucks to rotate the tires, plus gave me the new one. Everything but fixing the tire was their idea. They even filled out the forms to mail in for reimbursement for the tire. They've got my business, and they are 30 minutes from me.

I'll be giving Mini of Chicago a shot tomorrow morning. My 07 S Hardtop showed a few issues when I hooked up my OBDII adapter. The evap system testing would never complete, there was an o2 sensor issue, and it showed a few misfires had occurred.

The guys in the service department at Mini of Chicago have been top notch so far! Unfortunately my S has been there for about a week by no fault of their own...my extended warranty company hadn't filed my paperwork, then closed for the weekend.

However, Melvin and Annabelle in Service have been incredibly patient and understanding about everything. They set me up with a loaner S and when I somehow ran over a screw in it (I'm hoping I don't have bad Mini-luck), I came by and they took care of me.

I hope I never have to take my car back in for any big issues...but if I do, I'm thankful to have an awesome service department nearby.
