I just discovered www.Trapster.com today after reading about it in the Free Motor Trend I get thanks to MINI USA.
Cool Site. I'm not a tech guy, I still don't know how to many of the thing here on NAM that others do, but have found setting up my acct in Trapster easy.
It's a very local system and will work best with more and more local people plugged into it.
I have the text alert setup with my phone, incoming text are free for me, and I have also found the local maps very useful.
I'll be trying to download map data into my Garmin later this week.
I encourage you to sign up today and fight the good fight
Most of you know I don't trust "the Man" and after todays drive down Washington Ave in Grayslake and seeing new cameras at most stop lights I have even more reason to promote Trapster.
I'm not breaking the law, nor encouraging others to break it, the Man wants our cash and with no limits on how they will take it we need to work together to keep our cash.
I have been getting the texts and found them to be very helpful and I also have the POI loaded on my GPS and LOVE IT! It was great on Monday while in an area of WI I don't know well to get warnings about traps. We know cops love to write tickets to out of state drivers.
I will be sure and load more POI maps for other areas I visit in the months to come.
just signed up looks cool added a few in my area of driving and confirmed a bunch. Looks like voting for ones you know to be hiding spots raises the threat level. Like 53 at Euclid where Cook County is always sitting.
