Richard, this is probably noted somewhere in the previous posts on PW, but what is its effect on painted surfaces? I assume it doesn't harm the paint. Does it remove wax from the paint? In other words, how careful must one be to apply it only to the intended areas?

To be quite honest, I'd say it's next to impossible to create a product that removes wax and polish from trim yet leave the wax on your paint intact should the product come into contact with it. However one thing we are looking at is creating an emulsion that contains two types of cleaning agents so that the more you work it in, the more effective it is, thus providing a bit of a buffer if you accidentally get some on the wax.

Will it affect the paint? That's the challenge for any product. You want it strong enough to be effective with minimal effort, but gentle enough to be "idiotproof". The answer for PW is no, it won't affect the paint. I wouldn't use, recommend, or sell a product if it had the potential to harm my paint.
