Richard, this is probably noted somewhere in the previous posts on PW, but what is its effect on painted surfaces? I assume it doesn't harm the paint. Does it remove wax from the paint? In other words, how careful must one be to apply it only to the intended areas?
To be quite honest, I'd say it's next to impossible to create a product that removes wax and polish from trim yet leave the wax on your paint intact should the product come into contact with it. However one thing we are looking at is creating an emulsion that contains two types of cleaning agents so that the more you work it in, the more effective it is, thus providing a bit of a buffer if you accidentally get some on the wax.
Will it affect the paint? That's the challenge for any product. You want it strong enough to be effective with minimal effort, but gentle enough to be "idiotproof". The answer for PW is no, it won't affect the paint. I wouldn't use, recommend, or sell a product if it had the potential to harm my paint.

Pre Wow testing is still ongoing. Sorry for the lack of updates. These pictures are from Detail Fest in Florida this past weekend where I was a vendor.
This is matte black painted metal and the owner got wax on it. Not only did the OP version of PW easily remove the wax, it also darkened it up all day long, such that the owner wanted me to treat the other parts. Note, PW isn't a coating or protectant. It's just a cleaner but this version of PW does contain some beautifying agents similar to BW without the longterm durability.
PW OP worked well here too before using BW
On another test, I needed to clean some rubber trim, and PW OP didn't work that well but PW 14 worked wonderfully. We may end up more than one product for PW.

PreWow is in the final stages now. The test results are in from the field testers and the comments have been very positive. For best results, I've found that putting a little PW on a FIRM toothbrush, the kind you buy at your favorite discount store for 99cents, and scrubbing in circles for a few seconds is the most effective way to clean textured trim with lots of embedded wax/polish/contaminants.
Follow this with Black Wow as the PW will wear off pretty quickly.
Right now, we are designing the bottles and labeling, so we are moving closer to release!!!

The formula has been finalized and 40 lucky people will go home with it at MITM/MTTS.
Just waiting on packaging design and production. I'm expecting release by the end of September.

Process was hose down the engine bay with water, let it dry. Spritzed on PreWow on surfaces..just one or two per area, and wiped clean and dry with microfiber towel.
Also turned this
To this
But remember that PW doesn't replace BW. It supplements it. This blackness lasted only about 8 hours. BW was topped to make it last for weeks instead of hours.
This residue on this cargo cover didn't wash off with soap and water, so PW was used with very little effort and in seconds it was gone.

I don't want to keep making excuses, but had some minor setbacks to the delivery schedule. I'm in the lab at this very moment making a few minor changes with my Dad, and will be taking this back to the shop tomorrow to make the final batch. Also got the bottles but waiting for the printer....so close..I can almost reach out and hand them to you guys!!!
