It's the third, or fourth, or whatever, Mach V Track Day! We're sponsoring a NASA HPDE weekend at Summit Point, WV. Mach V customers, friends, and fans will have a special paddock area where we can all hang out. We'll have some special goodies to give away.
The date: October 11-12, 2008.
There are groups for drivers of all experience levels, from full-on racers, to rank novices. Anyone can drive. I'll be driving my '07 MCS.
Sound like fun. It might have to be a b-day present to myself.

Subscribing; this sounds like a great opportunity to take my car out where i can have some real fun in a safe environment with other enthusiasts. Never driven at the track before.
The link to register for the NASA event is http://www.nasaracing.net/sched_regis.htm and as of today it still has space. I have been going to the BMW clubs driver schools http://www.nccbmwcca.org/index.php?calendar_of_events and they have a school on Oct 11 and 12 on the Shenandoah Circuit. Unfortuantely they fill the classes quickly and you have a better chance when you are a member. I feel the BMW club offers better instructors and better organization than most driving schools. A few Mini's show at the BMW events but it would be get to see more.

It is free to come and watch but I think it would be boring. The tracks do not give any good places to watch except for a corner or 2 at a time. Also all the track make you sign a waiver to enter and ask why you are there. There is a chance they will not let you in. I would contact the track to make sure that it is not a problem.

Summit Point has several sets of bleachers and you can watch the entire back half of the course from one spot.

Huh? This event is open to spectators. There's no admission fee. You will have to sign a liability waiver. ("I, the undersigned do solemnly swear that if I get run over it's not the fault of the track...")
