I got my Mini used and didn't really have the chance to have this tested.
It seems like the window is abrassing w/ the soft-top structure somewhere and making this glass-clinging noise when I drive over the off-road sort of environments.
Does anyone's top+glass have this problem? Any found solutions for it?
Another, which I believe has the impact from the problem above, is that the rear defogger doesn't seem to work. I can only imagine that the abrassion would probably cause the defogger circuit cut off. If so, and I need to replace my rear window, is this gonna cost me a fortune to get it fixed?
Do I have to replace my entire top?
Thanks in advance for the infos that you're about to share!
I hate to the the bearer of bad news, but there is no replacement for the rear window. It is built into the convertible top, so you have to replace the entire top.

Well, I guess I hate to decide whether to get a new top or live with the broken rear defogger..
I kind of wanted to get a new top with different color anyways..
oh i'm actually curious since this topic has been brought up. Since the window is built in to the convertible top. Does that mean I have to replace it with a Genuine MINI top?
If not, would there be any disadvantages to replacing it with a non-MINI top.
