Free Inspection Coupon from Classic Mini

Did anyone take Classic Mini up on the "FREE Inspection" coupon they recently mailed out? I called and going in tomorrow to see what they say. I know the noise I have is probably a wheel bearing.

Go for it. They work on these cars daily & will be able to diagnose the noise for you. You don't have to have them fix it for you. Your local guy should be able to handle the job.

I asked Zack if it was only a FREE inspection if Classic did the work. My plan is to give him a list of things to price including my spark plugs. I'll let you know what they say later.

I'm guessing it will be a visual inspection. Them pulling the spark plugs to check them, well I don't see that happening. Hope they can pinpoint your noise.

Part HELP!!!

Got a road test inspection with a very cool Classic Mini tech in me mini. We thinks it is not wheel bearing but front axil bearing Expensive part but easy install (still not cheap labor). Just want to make sure that is exactly what is wrong. So since it is not a safety issue at the moment, I will drive a wee bit longer. Still have a couple things to get taken care of. First being the power steering fan, heard I dont have to pay a bomb for part, just need to find right fan and voltage, stock is stupid expensive. Anyone who can point me in right direction, PLEASE??? Need to replace ASAP. Tech said that my mini looks pretty good for being as old with over 100,000 miles. I looked under while on lift and have to agree... GO R50s go!!!

I had thought about using the free inspection I will have to the next time I get one in the mail. Not sure on parts, let me know that you find out so that it will help on my search when I need them later. If I get time I will look for places.

It was worth it for me to take it in. I know now what to expect for next big repair bills. Nothing is a safety issue to fix right now. I also have that Mini credit card and found out that I got $50 to spend at Classic Mini so it is going to new fan.
