Pennsultucky Hot dog report 2009

This past weekend me and the Missy Mowse (and Doc Lucas) made our annual trip to Pittsburgh for the massive car show in Schenley Park. The day started with a parade of Minis 75 cars long (small potatoes next to the PUB) throught town with a poeleece escort to the show.

This is put on by the Pitt Stop Mini club. This has gotta be the best club in the country. I've done several events with them and it's always great. Nice peeps!

The catered lunch featured hot and sweet italian sausage subs with onions/peppers/sauce. A nice warm up for dinner.

This years featured marque was BMW and man did they represent! I'd say 400+ beemers of all sizes and years. My fave were the Z3M coupes and the Z8s. Also saw five Lotus Elise's. Everytime I see one I get "the itch". Good thing those babies are such a pain it the a** to get in and out of or I would have traded the Mini for a supercharged one last summer.

That night we had a spectacular dinner at Essie's Original Hot Dog Shop better know as the "O". This are the best hot dogs I've ever had next to Nathan's at Coney Island in Brooklyn. We were sure to get there early as word has it the gangs like to hang there Saturday nights.

Then it was off to the Hoffbrau Haus for beer and music and german food. The place was packed for the massenkrugstemmen contest quarterfinals.

Then it was off to the Thunderbird Cafe for a psychobilly triple header of Sasquatch and the Sickabillys, The G** D*** Gallows, and Super Charger Suicide. Next up was breakfast at Pamala's which in my humble opinion has the best pancakes on the planet.

On the way home Sunday was a stop at Ikea then hot dogs at Coney Island in Sharon PA. Best coney sauce I've had with a sneaky afterburn.

So what did you do last weekend?
