Scottish Games Saturday 6/27 in Wellington

I now have my daughter that weekend who cares nothing about cars so I can't subject her to a trip to Mid Ohio for a car show.

HOWEVER, a short jaunt to (beef) Wellington for the 32nd Scottish games offers a british car show(that gets you in free) and alot of VERY COOL fun stuff to see and do (animals/huge guys throwing poles, kilts, bagspipes, ect).

This was BRM's first excursion as a group last year and 10 of us took our cars there and met a half dozen other Minis. It was alot of fun!

I'm going and so is Doc Lucas and Mary Lou. If anyone else wants to go we can meet up in the morning and attact en mass

"who's with me? Let's gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"

I'm with ye mate!
As I have been attending this event since 2000 B.C. (Before Cooper) and with since 2003 I will be there again. I love this event.
I checked the LOCO Brits web site to confirm they are hosting again.
Hey Doc, another opportunity to wear the Kilt!

THAT'S RIGHT!

Tracy and George (yellow JCW and brown classic at the PUB) have a party the night before each year and invite whoever wishes to stay. Very cool.

Will be nice to see them there too. I am excited for this event as we had such a great day last year. I just wish Mid Ohio was a different day because I wanted to go but this show makes more sense this year.

I can lend you my tent if you and Wellzy want to camp out and cuddle there. Let me know I'll bring it on Saturday.

Carlos & I would love to go to this event!

Silly question, is it an all day event? 'Cuz I need to have carlos put in for the day off then.

Sounds like we meet in Elyria the day of and convoy out together

Who's attending?

We're there with bells on.

Mo

Hey everyone! I know it has been eons since I have been heard from. Nursing school is hectic - what can I say. Desperate to stay involved I had Alan drive my car to last Saturday's event since I had a class. I drove in on the little crotch rocket.

That being said... I am finally into my summer vaca! ...More like stayca....
I always have a cookout for our British Car club on the Friday night before the big Car weekend.. .Vintage Mid-Ohio and Scottish Games.. what ever your flavor is....

This year I would love to see the 500 feet of frontage of my house be a sea of MINIs and minis and more Minis while people come to hang out and kick tyres and have good eats with good friends.

I know the marque this year is minis at Mid Ohio. I don't know how many people are even going to be around Friday night.... But I would sure like to see all the people I have met and those I have yet to meet come hang out at my house for food and libations (sorry those you will have to supply "legally speaking") ... but I will have drinks of the non-alcoholic variety.

I would need some kind of head count so that I can have enough meat and potatoes...
Sure could bring a small covered dish if you are so inclined.

At the Pub I checked to see that this would be put on the calendar. I don't see it though.
I was unable to get to the meeting today since my hubby was coming back from his active training with the Army in South Dakota and I had to pick him up from the airport.

What do Ya'll think? Anyone Game for a sea of Minis on 301S? Carlisle Township just south of Elyria.

71 South is available right off of my street (through a few small towns)
and a drive through the country.

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts

I probably can't request the 27th off if I just had yesterday and I'm hoping they grant me 7/11 (heh), but does anyone know if it'd be more useful to request a first or second shift for this day?

How cool is it that Tracy has everyone over the night before the two cars shows?

YO Listens up yawl!

Doc Lucas said he spoke to the powers that be and in order to participate in the British car show(free entrance!) you need to be there BEFORE 9 AM!

Last year we met a the parking lot of Chilis across from the Great Nothing mall right off 480 west.

Let's do that again at 7:40 with a blast off no later than 8 AM. I think the drive to the Lorain county fairgrounds is less than a half hour from there but it's good to be on the safe side.

BTW the website says "no pets". Sorry Meek!
