Fall Drive to Natural Bridge & Red River Gorge

I would like to get an idea of the number of people interested in joining us so that I can contact the lodge about a meeting room for lunch and maybe designated parking. Last year there was another group there and parking was limited. Last year this was a beautiful drive surrounded by the colors of fall. We hiked to the top of the bridge but for those who don't want to hike there is a sky lift. The expressions on the faces of people hiking in the gorge or waiting to go through the tunnel was priceless as mini after mini popped out of Nada Tunnel. Please let me know if you have an idea of something fun to do in the area. We are open to any suggestions.

I had a blast last year and plan to make it this time as well.
The expressions on the faces as we came out of the tunnel was worth the trip in itself.

This is planned as a day trip only. The date is October 22. I hope the weather and colors are as beautiful as they were last year. Here's the website for the park in the event that you decide to spend a night there.

That makes sense. I jumped the gun on the lodge and had no clue where things were. Daytrip works fine. Vince

I'm ready to give up on October events.....(J/K). I just received an email from Natural Bridge State Park (21 days after I sent the original email). I was informed that they do not reserve parking or dining rooms during the month of October. Last year the parking was a problem but lunch wasn't. I would like to get an idea of how may people will be attending (total number of people). I am going to try to convince him to at least reserve tables for us. Please post here or send me an email. I emailed them back with a tenative time and number but I will keep reminding them that we will be there. If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions, please share them.
