Any Bowling Green kids out there?

I was just curious if there are any MINI owners from BG, Kentucky out there. Couldn't find a previous thread, so here it goes.

If you do exist... Hey! I'm Jared pleased to meet you.

There aren't many that I've seen around town, and I think all the Grey in the beard won't qualify me as a "Kid", but yes there is at least one. I have one of the last Lightning Blue, ordered on 12-30-08, delivered on 2-14-09. I have seen a Black one around WKU but I don't think I've seen yours.

SWEET! I knew MINI owners in BG existed!

You're right, a beard (period) would probably not qualify you as a "kid." And you made an awesome color choice. Lightning Blue was my second choice (a VERY close second at that).

Are you a professor at WKU? I think the guy in the black R53 is a professor. He's about the only other MINI owner in town that will wave.

Great to finally meet some local NAM members! (Well, member. )

I'm not a Professor, but I did work at BGTC. I wave at the few I see, but, unfortunately, to some, it's just a car
I couldn't get the color I really wanted because it was only available on the S (dark silver/ lite silver roof) so it came down to Nightfire Red or Lightning Blue.
My Niece calls it UK Blue.

Yeah, it's a shame when people don't wave.

Buying off the lot is always a compromise. I bought my first one off the lot. Had to order this one, but it was well worth the wait! That dark silver/lite silver combo is pretty sweet.

Nice RX7 btw!

Little late to this thread, but I'm originally from Bowling Green. Live in Portland now and still visit often. I just picked up my first Mini a couple of days ago.

Hello, nice MCS, by the way. I'll be coming through Portland about 8:30 Sunday on my way down to NSS for an autocross, come on down. If you don't want to drive, I'll take you for a ride.... be warned, I'm still trying to learn how to autocross a FWD so it ain't pretty.

Sounds like fun, but I'm going to have to miss this one. I always wanted to take my Trans Am to do an autocross, but sold it before I had a chance to go.

BG Mini's. What, they exist. I was born and raised in BG and just resigned from the Navy. I have my MCS in town right now, I just moved up here from Corpus Christi, TX and would love to get together with some other MINI's while I am here. I will be moving to Lexington next month to take a job with Amazon.com. I saw a Clubman on Scottsville road a few days ago. Outside of that, I haven't seen any other Minis the few weeks I have been in. I am in a Space Blue MCS with a Silver roof, so give me a wave if you see me.

Welcome back to the Blugrass state.
I'm beginning to see more Minis around town, a black one driven by a young woman, a red S (not MoxieMini, she was too cute to be maned Jared ), a Pepper white one and a Nightfire red one (both were parked in shopping center lots), and my LiB. I'll wave, even if I'm not in the Mini, so wave back at the fool in the RX7.
Maybe we should all meet at some place very visible, maybe we can attract the attention of the other Mini owners and introduce them to the club.

Hi everybody! (Reply: Hi Dr. Nick!)

After that... sorry, I'm rarely on NAM anymore (PM me if you wanna know why ).

Anybody for a grabbin' a BG beer sometime? It's too small a town to not know each other.

Make sure you stop by our new BG website http://www.bgminis.org

I'm in the works of making some spotter cards to hand out so we can spread the word.

Yeah, I've got some moobs, but they aren't THAT big.

I've seen a bunch lately. A CR/B JCW, and PW/B JCW. I may have seen your LiB the other day (were you on campus?). I also saw Chili Red, Electric Blue, and Black R53's on campus recently.

Name a place and time to meet up and I am there. I will be in town for a week or two more then I will be moving to Lexington. I know some of the restaurants do a car meet up, maybe we should take up a section for the Minis. I believe Smokey Bones does it on Tuesday night, there might be others too that I don't know.

If any place has a cruise night, we should go, BG (Bowling Green) is too small for us not to know each other.
I'll check around and see, but if anyone knows of one let us know.

I have no clue about cruise nights. My schedule is ridiculously flexible this summer, so just let me know what works for you guys.

Edit: Yota, you gonna have time to make the endless journey from Portland, TN?
