A scenic run through middle Tennessee and Center Hill Lake. Run includes a stop at a Jazz festival and ends at a bluegrass jamboree in our local greenhouse's (Unique Greenhouse) barns with BBQ!
Lots of fun- get to meet more MINIs!
It's only a 3 hour drive from Louisville, which includes some fun curvy roads. Gordonsville is 45 minutes east of Nashville.
For more details reply back!!
See you there!!

Wow- I won't have my mini by then, and unfortunately may be out of state, but that is a beautiful area. IF there are any mini flyfisherpeople out there, the Caney is a wonderful place to throw a fly (per my husband, tho I have been dying to fish there too). You'll just have to check and see when the dam in releasing water... I believe you can also paddle the Caney.
Other things- it will be apple season and the you'll be able to pick up wonderful apples (I hear a bumper crop this year). Center Hill lake is beautiful. Drive up to Cookeville for an interesting old downtown experience (also home of TN Tech Univ)- there are some really fun roads North of Cookeville. Baxter & Livingston are interesting areas too- great craft arts. Oh and if you need "normal" stuff, there is a "Small" in Cookeville (at least that's what my stepson calls it!)
Have a great time- hope to join y'all next time
Vivi
sounds like you have been to my neck of the woods before! and yes you can do all those activities here!!
If anyone is interested in "paddling the Caney" I'd be happy to set it up for anyone who is interested if your staying for the entire weekend!
I'm on the other side of nashvegas, near the Trace. My stepson goes to TTU and I work with an animal sanctuary in Cookeville, plus have a lot of craft/art friends who live up on the Plateau... So I've spent quite a bit of time up there! It's beautiful. And as I mentioned, if I don't keep him on a short leash, my DH will sneak out early in the AM to go fish the Caney.
Actually took some horses that were tornado victims (Feb tornadoes) up to a friend in Jamestown near Big South Fork. I think we had to go through Livingston to get there... She had lost her farm in the tornado & another friend & I were fostering her horses and a turkey until she got settled in her new farm... far away (we hope) from tornadoes.
Well if your ever passing through Gordonsville stop in to eat at the Timberloft. . were very MINI friendly in fact you'll probably see two parked out back!
Thanks- I will. The Pot Bellied Pig sanctuary (aka Mini Pigs), that I've been affiliated with for years used to be off Buffalo Valley Road- so I'm familiar with that specific area
It's grown up a lot in the past 20 something odd years...
