Does anyone have a recommendation of a shop in the Louisville, KY area that will install boot stripes?
Thanks.

Actually, it is not that hard to install the stripes. We had a couple guys install them on their own cars without any trouble.
The basic process is this, assuming you already have the stripe material:
Wash the car (or just the rear if you are feeling lazy).
Next, cut off a section for one side (longer than actually needed) and tape it into place with masking tape so you can properly cut the length and angle. After cutting to proper size, you are ready to install.
Squirt soapy water on the adhesive side of the stripe as you pull off the backing. This will let you place the stripe and slide it if you don't hit the spot exactly. Use something with a sturdy edge (like a credit card) to squeegee the excess water and air bubbles out from beneath the stripe and let it sit while you move on the the second stripe and repeat.
You will have to decide how you want the stripe to go around the "COOPER" letters because there is not enough room for the stripe to go on the side of the letters without being cut.
Installing stripes is a very straightforward process and one you should not be afraid of doing yourself. Let me know when you plan on doing it and I might be able to help you with it.

Later,

I have a question regarding the use of "soapy water"...I get why (I think it a great idea) but does the soap leave a residue after removing the air bubbles and excess water with a squeegee?

Ended up doing it myself. Very simple once I got the stripes centered.

The soapy water does not leave a residue if you use soap intended for car washing. Don't use dish detergent. (And soapy water is lots of water and drops of soap.)
