Just got a postcard for Autobahn bmw Repair -- "new" location at Poplar Level and Hugh Ave (near Watterson). Never heard of them to know about an "old" location or if they are any good, but thought I'd pass it on any case anyone was looking for a new place.
I used them,$75/hour, Cheap in the MINI world. They are ok. I am not sure about their diagonistic capabilities on some of the oddball MINI problems.Probably very good on mechanical repairs you don't want to tackle.

I had my mini serviced by them recently and they know what they are doing. They are very reasonable compared to the inflated prices you get from Stein.
Also, I forgot to mention. They asked me to see if BGM would be interested in an auto clinic on basic mtn or whatever.
Let me know if you guys would be interested and I'll get it setup.

Sounds good to me

I went to Stein for a couple things -- they were great & seemed cheap (though I only compared to dealer prices). Didn't bother with autobahn out of location/convenience.

well, my car's got the inspection l - i realized it was l, not ll what i needed - by the Stein guys in Bowmans Field last week and they had no knowledge of any discount to any Mini club.
Work was great and very nice people, but not discount!

Probably better to start a new thread with this, but it's late, I'm tired and lazy, so here goes....
To the old-timers of the club...a few years ago we met at Tumbleweed on River Road and the owner of Stein Automotive attended...that much is clear...but I'm trying to recall whether the following exchange was actually discussed, or is my imagination playing tricks.... Anyone remember Stein saying something (paraphrasing) like..."we are also authorized to perform MINI warranty work, and we offer a service where, if your new car 4 yr / 50K mile warranty is about to expire, bring it in, let us take a look under the bonnet, and if there's an issue we can get MINI to cover it without you having to take it to Cincy / Indy / Nashville...."
