Any MINI owners here going micro?

The MINI just wasn't small enough, so we've reserved one of these
(same color, except cabrio model)

I have always liked small cars. Drove a Smart car, Didn't like it. Needs a real transmission for starters. Mi 2002 MINI. More smiles per mile.

I don't understand the attraction. The gas mileage is worse than a Prius, and it has much less room too. I'm not a huge Prius fan, btw. I'm just wondering why choose a Smart car over a Prius?

I met a couple in Louisville who own a Silver S and a Red Smart Cabrio so you won't be alone.

Because a Prius isn't cute, and has four seats!

Gas mileage is not worst then a MINI....don't know of any Coopers that can crack 50 mpgs? No, the smart is no MINI..and we still have the "Beast" (and its < 25 mpg average!) to hope in "for the thrill of it"!

I did not say that gas mileage was worse than a MINI; I was comparing gas mileage of Prius and Smart.

And to be precise, from their respective web sites:

Smart 2008: 33 city / 41 highway
Prius 2008: 48 city / 45 highway

Smart mileage from http://www.smartusa.com/smart-car-faq.aspx
Prius mileage from http://www.toyota.com/prius-hybrid/specs.html

It is a bigger difference than I expected.

Tony

Ya, a standard Cooper is 28 city / 37 highway. Close. But I am curious if a Smart gets what it advertises. A friend has a new Clubman and is getting better then what Mini advertises.

Hey "gone motoring"; I'm the guy with the White Bull Terrier Domino ,really enjoyed talking to you about the dog, hope to see you again. Still didn't particularly like the Smart, but your cabriolet is adorable looking. Kind of like a MINI, sometimes you just want to pet it.(safer than petting Domino)

What the heck would a MINI look like if they used a bull terrier for inspiration
