Radar Detector- Hard Wire

Good morning, Has anyone hardwired a radar detector? I have a V1 that I need to hardwire. It's currently hardwired in the family car - long trips in this car. I want to put the hard wire set up in the MINI so I can switch out whenever I want. I had it professionally done in the other car. The place that did it is gone. Any suggestions? I'm in Louisville.
