Evidently I have a slow leak in one of my tires.
My red light came on warning of a flat tire, I stopped to check and my front left tire was at 15 psi . I aired it up, but need to get it checked.
So I'm taking it to goodyear to have it looked at. I probably need a tire rotation about now, but seems like I read somewhere that there was a 'different' way your supposed to rotate them than on most cars. Is this true, if so, what is it? I doubt the gy people will know so I want to make sure to tell them. I've only had this done at Mini in the past, but I dont' want to take it all the way to Memphis, besides they charge $70 for a rotation!!
Is there some issue with the tire sensor that they need to be aware of?

Unless you have some 3rd-party wheel where it's not an issue, make sure the Good Year folks are well aware that the MINI OEM wheels are powdercoat painted, and will get scratched up if mishandled while repairing a flat, etc. Back in the day, my lovely new white wheels were scratched all to crap by some goof at a local Good Year who had never handled a runflat repair or painted wheels. Since these are more common now on all sorts of cars, I'm sure they've had more experience.

Did Todd answer your tire inflation sensor question, too? Not sure of model year of your MINI, and it will depend on whether you have the older type sensor or the later "TPMS" sensor that is built into the wheel/rim. Here are some links on NAM that might be helpful:
No, I didn't ask him about that, but I did mention to guys at GY to be careful because the tires have sensors .. just to be safe. I noticed on the print out it said across the top in big letters "THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH TPMS" So, evidently they have some idea what they're doing!
FYI: it is an 07 MC
Thanks for the links

I thought the type of tire you had determined how they were rotated, not the type of car you have.
I thought directional tires were rotated front to back and regular tires were rotated diagonally. Why would the type of car you have determine how they're rotated?
I have no idea FS. I guess the type of car doesn't matter. I just drive, gas it up and now.. check the tire pressure regularly. Beyond that I know very little about cars.

Just make sure they are rotated often. I guess it determines the tire of how often to rotate them. Growing up it was 'rotate every other oil change', but since we don't have to change oil every 3000-5000 miles that doesn't apply. I found that out with my run flats when I got my MINI. And the tires I have now (that I will be replacing Monday) have to be changed every 3k so they'll last longer. They are the KDW2's, I like the tire, this is the 2nd set of these I've had, but if they are not rotated every 3k they don't last long and if they are not rotated often they get loud.
I'm actually going to be replacing mine with the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval. They were ranked #1 in the Ultra High Performance category on TireRack.com. Only 125/tire. About the same as my KDWs.
