Boat Sinks - Motoring On - July 26th

Hey AMOKs! We have finally figured out our July event. We are going to take a dinner/sunset cruise on the Arkansas Queen. It docks on the North Little Rock side of the river. This event is scheduled for Saturday, July 26th. Boarding starts at 6:30pm and launch is at 7pm. Dinner will be served. I believe the cruise lasts till 9. Afterwards any who would like can head over to the Salty Parrot.

Tickets (with tax and everything) are just under $39 per person. There will be a cash bar available if you would like to purchase drinks. This is a family event if you want to bring your kids. I wasn't told there were different prices for children or seniors. It may be that since this is a dinner cruise and we are coming in as a group I don't know that there will be a difference in prices. I can always ask if anyone is interested.

Here's the link to their web site: http://www.arkansasqueen.com/
It will give you an idea of what to expect, cost...
If there are not enough people, I may change the plan (I already have something in mind and it is in central AR). I heard the food is good and it's a good cruise. We'll see aspects of the river we've never seen before, unless you boat out that way. Plus, a beautiful sunset! Bring your cameras.

RSVP here with the number of people coming with you.
I'll look at RSVP numbers on Wednesday, July 16th and may make my decision that day to change plans or not. I will post that here and contact everyone on AMOKs email list.

Okay, I didn't have many MINIs reply to this so we are going to change it to a ride. I'm working on the details, but it will be in the Conway area and it will include driving through town and through all 3 round-abouts (I love the round-abouts!!!). We'll meet up a little earlier than the original time of 6:30 but it will still be in the evening and conclude with a late supper. I'll make sure to get all details on here and have Popeye get you those details through our Klub email as well in the next couple of days. If you are not on our Klub email list pm Popeye, or myself, or Twiggy and get your name on the list.

Yet again, it looks like Mark and I are going to have to cancel. The Altus Grape Fest is today, and we've missed it the past two years. Of course, you guys could always motor on over to Altus and enjoy some good wine for the drive back

We'll make it to the next one!

We hate that you two couldn't make it. Maybe next year you two can sponsor an event going to the Altus Grape Fest. I've always wanted to go. I hope you had fun. Did you smash grapes with your feet?

We had a great time. We ran into a shower before we hit Clinton, then ran into a down pour before we hit Conway. We had a few on motorcycles that got to ride in the rain! John enjoyed it, it cooled him down. We did realize that anytime he goes on his bike we need to take an extra set of clothes, jnc. Everyone rode at their own pace which was wonderful! We want to learn what our MINIs (and us) can do, but not at the expense of our MINIs or worse, one of us. Pushing it hard is for the track, street is for fun!

We hit 3 of the 4 round-abouts in Conway due to time. It was getting late and bellies were calling. We stopped at Gusano's for pizza and sandwiches afterward.

I had fun. Stormie hung out the window taking pics so I got to hear the great sound effects....."uh"..."MOM!"...."ouwa" (it's not ouch, it's ouwa)...and, of course, those looks I get when she gets slung around (it's great being a Mom!) mmuuuwwwhhaaaa!

I hope everyone else enjoyed the ride. We need to get MINIs together again in Conway for some round-about fun! We can cruise just Conway.

Those of you who went tell your funnies! If anyone has any good pics post them and then get them to Jim, they may end up in the next MINI Invasion.

I had a great time yesterday! Thank you Carrie and company! Stormie took some good pics and I'm sure that some of them will show up in the next MINI Invasion. Hmmm, the wheels are turning, stay tuned.....

Okay, this is what the wheels were turning about.

Everybody may now go to my web gallery at Smug Mug and see pictures taken at our events. Most of the pictures are taken by Stormie Perry, using my camera. The pictures from the Hop, in June, were sent to me by Geoff Riordan, Thanks Geoff. If anybody would like to send me pictures to be included, PM me here and I will give you the address to send them to so I can put them in the gallery. Check them out and enjoy!

Go to: http://gprowner.smugmug.com

From here you can look at last year's Mtn. View Car Show, my trip to Greece and Egypt, see my house, and now see the pictures from our AMOK Events. Please bookmark the page, so you can check back and see more.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing - is it alright to borrow one and use as my desktop? And I loved your Greece pics - I went to Greece in 2002 and I would love to go back again.

The ride was fun - thanks Carrie! And we are going to have to make a harness for Stormie.

Thanks for the picture compliments! You are welcome to download whatever you would like. There are some good ones.

Glad you guys made it Sat. I haven't seen you guys in a while. Take care and drive it like ya stole it (I know you do). By the way, got my three digits on the way home.
