Who belongs to these wheels

We took this photo at AMVIV as I was thinking would like to do something similar to our wheels. Now my husband and I are having "discussions" on how the effect was achieved ie polishing normal "S lites" or actually painting them.

Does anyone know who this BRG MINI belong to so that we can check if we can copy the idea for our own car??

Daisygirl,

I think that those are Hans Dinse. He is from Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts and lives in the Sacramento area. I will make sure he sees your post and gets back with you.

I was the one driving the cruzin cooler.

Cheers,

Hey Pooper, I remember both you are your car. It was in the latest Mc2 magazine that we got about two months late!!

We are the Aussies that visited so I hope Hans wont mind if we copy his idea as I am sure our two cars will never be seen together!!

Thanks for your help

Hans can give you the full details, but they were painted by a guy that does wheel refinishing.

Those are my wheels, and yes they are painted. I did the prep work (sanding and masking) and then they were painted by my wheel guy. Iam not sure of the "color" he used but I can try to find out and post more info.

Hans

I guess that means my husband wins the "discussion" as that they were painted!!!

If you could find out the colour that would be extremely helpful.

I will have to find someone in Australia who can do something similar.

cheers

Judy

I talked to Tony today and the color is a "custom" mix, a base color with some extra black added.
