ALTA Performance is happy to announce that we will be bringing our show vehicles, double car trailer, vehicle four post hoist to aid in installation and tow rig for their world debut at AMVIV on March 22nd 2007. Our company is dedicated to the MINI enthusiast and what better place to showcase these new showpieces than AMVIV?

We will have our R53 MCS in Chili Red as well as our R56 MCS Mellow Yellow show cars. Each have a plethora of new and exciting ALTA Performance Products as well as products from some of our corporate partners (Konig Wheels, Dunlop Tires, H&R Special Springs, Lightning Audio, and Varad Lighting.) Also, members of our marketing, sales and technical staff will also be on hand throughout the weekend. They will be easy to spot wearing bright white ALTA mechanic shirts and black pants and shoes. Feel free to grab them at anytime to ask questions, and get technical advice. (Also keep an eye out for these guys wandering the parking garage for instant specials and giveaways throughout the event!)

And yes that price is correct! We feel that the labor charge should match the time actually taken to do it. $200+ for an hours work seems excessive.

Hey folks! You guys have replied overwhelmingly to our Saturday slots. The day is mostly filled with pulleys but we have some extra time for walk ups, intakes etc. So feel free to call me ahead of time or stop on by the trailer!

We have decided to open up installations for Friday afternoon and early evening. Our staff will be split between the track and the Palace Station on Friday. Call me or e-mail me for appointments!

I'm considering a rear swaybay but will have to get WAF (wife acceptance factor) when I get there.

Yay! I got WAF for a rear swaybar. On Friday morning, we plan to visit the SHelby museum. How does Friday Early afternoon look? Maybe just after lunch or something? This may be my last time on getting on a computer before I leave for the drive to Las Vegas so I would like to tentatively book a timeslot in there somewhere.

I haven't decided if I should go the 19 or 22mm route. I'll let you advise me on that when I get there. Also, WAF is dependent on keeping it under a budgetted amount so if you can let me know the installed price ASAP, I would appreciate it.

beken: Thanks for getting the WAF cleared. Installed price is $169 on the bar with the free labor and the 15% discount. I highly recommend the 22mm! Call me to setup an appointment. Saturday is mostly booked, but we are taking work in reservations, etc. for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thanks again!

A big thanks to Jeff for tolerating my incessant questions and leering eye while he installed my pulley! And to Alta for giving me the incentive to finally get a pulley! Definitely adds to the Wheee! factor.

The only disappointment was missing out on the T-shirt installs.

Thanks for the rear swaybar install. Even on the softest setting, I noted that I was cornering a lot faster than before. Scares the .... out of the driver in front of me when they see me pull up so fast in the corners. I can see their eyes open wide when they look in their rearview mirrors

I had a good chuckle over the counterfeit MINI decal on your tiny truck, too. If you want a slight bigger more detail picture, pm me. I can send it to you gratis.
