Well of course I'm working to get my MINI ready for the race at AMVIV so I thought I'd see who else is bringing a car to race. Maybe even get some trash talk.

The North American MINI Cooper Challenge race by Phil Wicks at Spring Mount Motorsports Park, in Pahrump NV. The race is on Fri Mar. 23rd, there is also a MINI driving school that day.
The Pahrump track was resurfaced within the last year or so, and everyone I've talked to says that it is a GREAT track. When we first talked about having a driving school in conjunction with AMVIV last year, that was the track we were trying for. It just didn't work out.
Last I heard, there were going to be 2 races of the NAMCC (the 1st 2 rounds) at the track on the Friday od AMVIV weekend. However trying to get details on stuff like that out of Phil can be tricky.

I'm on the fence leaning waaaaaaayyyyyyy over on the side of actually making it to Vegas this year. (I know, I'm a tease. I said I was coming last year.)
Looking back over the inaugural year with NAMCC I think I am the definitive NAMCC groupie chick. I made it to all but Vegas last year. So that makes NAMCC chicks old enough to be Way's MOM and TRASHY too.
Me too. I was planning on winning $112 grand in the Jumbo jackpot tonight but it didn't pan out. But, we got home from the casino after 4 hours about $3 up, so that's pretty good.

Well done, my friend. I thought locals never gambled.
Not so. There is a whole secondary group of casinos that are considered "locals casinos". The Station Casinos are all classed as locals places (except for Palace) because except for Palace, they are scattered around the valley away from the touristy areas. Same with the Coast Casinos group which has the Barbary Coast on the Strip, the Gold Coast about the same distance as Palace and everything else spread in non-tourist areas. Also, most grocery stores, petrol stations and bars have video poker machines. It's unlikely that you would move to Vegas if you didn't like to gamble a bit. Of course, if you can't keep it under control, you can have problems living here.

Found out Phil has someone driving his car so that make 5. I know there's a few more racers out there somewhere. What happened to MINI Mania, or Madness??
