I'm going to preface this by saying that my current plan is to depart Las Vegas early in the morning on Sunday to get a bit of a jump on traffic headed back to L.A.
However, if there was enough interest from other MINI owners in doing the SCCA autocross on Sunday, I may stick around to run the event (and probably find a room Sunday night).
How many others would be interested in running the SCCA autocross on the 25th?

Current word from Phil Wicks is that the school is Friday only, so doing the autocross on Sunday shouldn't be a problem. Also, Palace will happily extend your room for Sunday night. *nudge*

Would I get better milage if I had less fun?
What is the cost to enter? I wanted to try Phrump, but not for $375!

No autocross, however if you are looking for more track time that weekend there are two good choices.
Porsche Club and SCCA are jointly hosting 2 days of DE at the Spring Mountain track (same venue as Wick's Friday events) on Sat. and Sunday. Cost is $ 225 per day or $375 for both. Call Tony Zito, 702 521 9966 if interested.
The BMW Car Club is doing a DE at the outside road course at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sat. and Sun. Cost is $495 for both days, don't know if you can sign up for a single day. Contact is Henry Sithu, 702 460 3702.
I have run at both tracks. They are both good but different. Spring Mountain has a longer layout (if they use it all), elevation changes, a fast back straight but is pretty rocky if you go off the course. LVMS is flat, has some nice sweepers, dirt runoffs and is much closer to the Strip.
Rats. I was hoping for an autocross. Track time is a bit spendy.

Well...you COULD do AMVIV runs instead and habg out at the Boot N Bonnet show in the time between runs.
Will you distract the cops for me then?
Please explain what "habj" means, is that text message code for something?
BTW: Mini Meet West had some fun (i.e. insurance didn't frown on it) parking lot events, real safe and slow but challenging. I thought it would be fun to do a backseat driver course where the driver is blindfolded. I'm full of ideas (some say other stuff).

Correction, I erred on the dates for the BMW and the PCA/SCCA track weekends, both are this weekend, March 17-18th, before AMVIV, sorry for the confusion. So after the Wicks track day on the 23rd, there is drag racing at the Speedway on Friday night is from 8 pm- 1 am. Cost is $10 per car, and is a lot of fun, $5 for spectators. This is for street cars on the professional drag strip. No prize money or trophies, just run what yu brung.
Head from the Strip to the Strip. Friday evening is the AMVIV Strip Cruise, and I think a few people are planning on heading from the end of the cruise straight up I15 to the Speedway.
