when the screen is out, you can adjust it in and out, you can also adjust the tilt.....so to anwser the dash hitting question, yes it clears the dash, but you have to adjust the settings....once you do that your clear everytime.....we love the deck.....you can add a video camera to it, you can hook up IPOD, you can hook up a video game system.....pretty much anything
