Steering wheel will have to wait a couple of more days since wiring harness for MF controls has changed from 1st to 2nd gen cars. Ordered harness from dealer and will try to swap out next week. May then be selling 2 spoke and airbag.
steering wheel will be sold. asking $150 for the wheel including the controls. the airbag will be sold for $100. Both including shipping from 33196.
also have another 2 spoke steering wheel that was original to the '03 R50, peeling leather and multifunction controls. could be a good project item or used just for the controls. make an offer.
Just curious - was the autodim rearview mirror a plug - in, or did you have to run wires for it? I've been wishing I had an autodim/garage opener mirror in my 2006 R53.
$100 is a good deal on the airbag...but you might want to check with the post office and/or UPS about shipping it...I think they may consider it "explosives"...I had a problem with this trying to buy one for another car a while back...

thank you for the heads up. Perhaps that is what is delaying the one I ordered for the 3 spoke.
I had not thought about the explosive part after power is disconnected, but I guess now this will make my next removal job that more interesting. I will look more into it. May have to do a local sell.

How do you modify the switch set-up for the fogs. Can I just get a pair of the OEM lights and a full-toggle bank switch (with fog light switch) and do something like a plud and play with FRONT fog lights in my R53? I'm asking, because it looks like you have done something like this with your statement above. Thanks!!
I can only say that on the U.S. models pre-'05, rear fog lights were prewired and there are even bulbs in the correct spots in the rear light assembly (above the turn indicator). All that is needed is the toggle switch and re-coding by the dealer.
From what I have seen here on NAM, '05 and newer Coopers don't have the lamp for the fog light installed in the bumper (what replaced the back up light in the '02-04 models) and that needs to be purchased and wired along with the toggles and re-coding.
If anyone has different information, please share.

2 spoke steering wheel sold, still offering the toggle switch bank (DSC, Front Fogs, Door Locks, and Power Windows), manual rearview mirror, and a 2 spoke wheel with badly peeling leather that can be a good project. The wheel will be just actual shipping charges and best offer on anything else!
I will look more into it. May have to do a local sell.
