FS: M7 Ported S/C

This was ported by Stiegemeier, for M7. I ran it on my car for about 25k miles with a 16% sc pulley and a 2% crank pulley. It was used aggressively but not abused. Professional installed and uninstalled, in perfect working order. There is no wear on the rotor surfaces. It has the old-style grey coating.

The porting work looks like:

I have no data that this works any better than stock. On my car, it made no extra peak boost but did seem to provide higher mid-range boost.

The above in mind, I have no interest pricing this any higher than a comparable stock S/C or marketing it as a performance improvement when I have no basis to do so.

I believe that $450 shipped (including M7 16% pulley, already installed) would be a good, honest starting price. Who wants it?

I got a confused pm about my listing, so let me head off any potential ambiguity.

There is nothing wrong with the S/C. It is in great condition. I just can't, in my good name, market this as a performance improvement over a stock blower, because there is absolutely no data anywhere that shows this. I wish to sell this to either a) a person whose S/C needs replacing or b) someone who knows that this may or may not improve their performance (it might well, I just don't have the data to prove it).

I could easily unload it for more if I mis-represented the part, but it's not worth that to me. I hope that this clears up any confusion.

BUMP!

usually Stiegemeier will put a emblem on a supercharger if they have indeed ported and polished the piece. If it has this then i would say it most definitly will be an improvement over stock. a great idea if someone does buy this is to go out and get it polished too, in and out. The charger is able to dissipate heat better without the coating that eaton puts on it and Stiegemeier is the best in the biz that i know of

I applaud your honesty!! Its nice to see fair and honest people are still left on these boards as oppose to people trying to pawn off ignition coils and what not to unsuspecting fellow Mini enthusiasts just to make a quick buck. So here's a bump for ya and good luck with the sale.

According to m7's website this unit is ported and polished. Supposedly the m7 supercharger requires less power to turn therefore increasing the amount of power at the wheels Like Ingsoc said there is no data to show that this improves horsepower but if you need a new supercharger why not get this one?? Its comparable to other used ones and now you can say you have a ported and polished supercharger from m7!!
