I have a set of KONI FSD Shocks and 1st gen TSW linear springs for sale. These have been on the car for less than 30K miles. This set-up handles great on and off the track and is very good for all around use. You will get 3/4 to 1 in drop from these. These are firm when it's smooth, but automatically adjust for the rough spots. Retail on the shocks is $640 and springs were $199. I'll sell them together for $550 plus shipping or $450 plus shipping for the shocks and $120 plus shipping for the springs. I will post pics this weekend.
Finally getting a set of Coilovers eh Wes? Nice!
I might know someone that'd be interested... I'll let you know.
No, no Stand tonight, but we will be at Danny's tomorrow. Jan is bringing us a package. We're going to Willow Springs Friday night for the school on Sat so we'll see you there.
i'm not going to answer that question for wes. but i'm not sure i would call the tsw gen 1 springs "lowering springs" they lower the car by some where around .5-.75" Which is still within the safe range of the fsd's afaik.
I've just heard some horror stories about FSD failures when they've been run lowered... I'm ignorant of what the "safe range" is or isn't... would love more evidence on this... definitely interested as long as there's no evidence that they may fail prematurely...

ya i've heard those stories as well... and after reading a bit about how the damper works i think big drops are indeed bad for these. When i was looking for a damper change i made some calls to koni distributors and did some reading. I'll have to look to find some of the book marks i had on the issue.
my conclusion was that the drop the original tsw springs provided was actually about perfect to mate up with the fsd's. I'll do my best to dig my info up and get back to you.
Thanks Erik for the info. I think one of the big problems with a big drop on the FSDs is they are unable to dampen selectively like they were designed to do. With the TSW springs though they worked as designed.
