Upcoming Activities?

Seems slow here... any planned MINI cruises or activities coming up for Birmingham area?

I just got my MINI, but it's already back in the shop.... they botched the Checkered roof graphic upon delivery, and then when I took it back in, they messed it up and it was unacceptable AGAIN. :( So maybe 3rd time they will get it right? Worries me about how future maintenance/service will be handled if they can't get a simple roof graphic right....

How about a Full Moon drive on Hwy 25, sometime this year? There won't be a full moon on the weekend for a couple of months anyway, but it's just a thought.

It would be good to see Petey again. Maybe we could have a pet-friendly event?

There is a full moon Saturday, August 16th at 9:18PM. Petey is always up for a ride

Also we were talking about going to the Harpersville Drive in. We can always do an afterdark run on Hwy 25 then hit a movie. What movie was it that was going to premier at the Drive in that y'all wanted to see?

Sometimes we just meet for dinner. How about a covered dish picnic, and we could bring our dogs to a friendly and picturesque site? Vulcan park, maybe?

We were discussing the Indy film, and we'll probably see it this afternoon. The movie night was fun last year. I suppose we'd want to get there early enough (before dark, when the movies begin) to all park together. Depending on if the film gets us pumped or not, maybe we could do a Midnight run afterwards?

Just an FYI... I called Harpersville Drive-In for the hec of it to see what was playing & they have changed their admission charge (which will either stay the same for most but go down for us singles). It's now $5 per adult in stead of $10 per car

Well that's smart of them. It does cost $5 to drive there.

EDIT: Found another go-kart track. Moore's family fun center in oxford al. Just off I-20 Westbound. Not a straight oval, it gets a little wiggly, I'll have to try them sometime and give a report. But if you're in Oxford, feel free to try it and report back!
