Looking for a Megan exhaust

Since there will be so many MINIs at MOTD, I would like to find someone who has a Megan exhaust in their Cooper (non-s). I'm thinking about getting one, but would like to hear one in person before I decide. I've heard some recordings, but would like the "in person" experience.

If you can help me out, please post here and we can try to arrange a time/place to get together.

Thanks!

Or you can travel to MD and listen to two of them, just to make sure you're you're hearing accurately.

Sorry, Mike... bringing the convertible to MOTD again. The two JustaCoopers will be tucked away in the garage.

Not sure Dustin's MINI will be a good example, he's got so many other mods on that car.

my motor is still "Stock" really my catback sounds the same today as it did new. Plus with no rear seat and the windows down it might be very close to the R52 with the top down

Megan Exhaust

Was you Megan Exhaust a simple bolt on or did you have an exhaust shop do some bending around the cross member on the cabrio?

I've been told to fit the exhaust to the cabrio you will need to do some bending around some bracing.

Why don't the JustaCoopers get to come out and play? Jene says she would be willing to drive one around if you don't want to.

Some of us just put in a spacer to lower the rear braceing, and the exhaust fit fine then..

I'm considering the Megan catback. What did you think of it Mishka?

Is the sound "ricey" like a civic or is it more of a low grumble, agressive?
Some have called it a "beefy british sports car" sound.

I haven't bought one yet, but it is definitely on my list. It doesn't sound "ricey" to me, I would say it's a lower tone than that. A friend who has one has even mastered the 'burble' with his.
