America's Scariest Roads

Yahoo has this Article on the front page today. Can anyone guess what made it in the top seven?

Saw that article this afternoon. I do not know if it is a scary road, maybe more challenging than most average roads.

Scariness of the Dragon has a lot to do with the type of vehicle you drive it in.

These yahoos need to come to MITM and do the midnight run to the summit of Mt. Evans...

...though one might postulate that the sphincter-tightening factor on that road may be greater in the daylight when you can see the sheer drop-offs and the crumbling asphalt on the edge of the road with seemingly nothing under it but 4K feet of air.

I guess different people get scared by different things. To me, open roads like US-50 and TI-170 are a welcome pleasure -- I feel like I own the world on these long stretches.

That looks like the NC side about 1/2 mile in... the pavement and shoulders are better in TN. That is a guess - I've driven the Dragon only about 6 times.

No idea, but it certainly isn't The Dragon. It's not called "Tail Of" either. Pretty poor article.
