Alright, who stoled Cabin 475?

That's okay, we'll just have some of our club members camped out in your yard.

Signed,

Your neighbors at MOTD8

We just got booked in a cabin!!!

Just got back from the Dragon this week and stopped by Fontana while we were there. I didn't realize how big it was!! We have been to the Dragon a couple times before, but not during MOTD!! Can't imagine how awesome it must be to see MINIs everywhere while down there!! Looking forward to it!

Booking Fontana

I want to go to MOTD this year for the first time. I plan on making reservations this week since it appears to fill up fast from reading other posts. I guess Fontana is the place to be? I saw a map of it and it looks like there are a lot of different kind of rooms. Anything to watch out for or be sure not to get when making reservations?

I've stayed in the lodge the last three years and have been very happy with the rooms. Most of the cabins have been redone, but some of older ones have not from what I have heard. I'm sure some folks will chime in about the different cabins.

I just called the Blue Waters Mountain Lodge in Robbinsville(?), got on the wait list for someone to drop.
As a MOTD newbie I'd appreciate any tips/ places to try/not try.
Also, does everyone go up/return on pretty much the same days?
Thanks!

2009 was my first year and I got a "rustic" cabin last minute at Fontana but because of the remodel they put me in a member cabin, but for 2010 I booked a "Laurel". They let me look at one and its the exact same but less square footage and $70 bucks less!!!! Also watch the boards closer to time because there are always people who can't go at the last minute and need somebody to take over their reservations. You are going to have a blast!!!

Is there a number or web I can use to get my reservations for the welcoming dinner and other activities? Hope it's not too late for the dinner.....I've read in other post by doing this you are given a lanyard indicating all the activities you can attend.

I have sold my MINI so I will not be attending MOTD. That means I will be releasing my reservations at Fontana if anyone wants it. It is a pool cabana that sleeps 4 people.
