I'm at Fontana with my kids for Spring Break. We went to Bryson City for lunch and the snow flurries started. As we were driving back on 28 to Fontana Village the snow became heavier and heavier. By 10 PM we had two inches on the ground! Three weeks until MOTD 7 and it's snowing!
Did you see any of the MINI's that drove up from South Carolina on Sunday?
We saw one MINI and it was loaded with a couple kayaks on top. I noticed while looking at photos on Killboy, Moonshine, etc..that there was a group here though. Also lots of Crossfires and Porsches.
um..brrrrr! Your poor kids, freezing like that. I hope you still have winter tires on your car! I have a feeling this year's Dragon is going to be a cold one, given what a chilly spring it's been so far.
Pack your long johns, folks!

I'm from Florida so no winter tires. The kids are gonna play in it a little at Fontana and we'll take some pictures, then we're heading to Atlanta for the night before heading home. No twisties today.
You guys must've been out when we were up on Sunday. We stopped by the lodge at Fontana but didn't see any other MINI's. You're right about the Crossfires and Porsche's they were out in force but were pretty nice though.

Yeah, we made it up there on Sunday, see that you and Mol were also out and about. It was absolutely perfect!
Quite a change from Sunny and almost 80 to Snowy and freezing!

We drove the Dragon once to the Foothills Parkway and over to Pigeon Forge so the kids could go Zorbing. Only saw one MINI and it was loaded with two kayaks on top! Sorry we missed you. And yes, the Crossfire folks were staying here at the lodge and were very nice.

Throughout most of the country kids leave the cold wintery weather during spring break
and head south to Florida for warm breezes, palm trees and beaches.
But in this case you left the relatively warm area of Tampa for the snow
and cold of North Carolina.
Love the Zorbing video, I wish I was younger where I wouldn't look like a fool
as I came out of it at the bottom.
dang, I'll be there Friday and will have missed the snow
Yeah, although it was near blizzard-like conditions on the way down to Robbinsville the snow was melting really fast. The kids got to play in it for a few hours though and it was the real sticky snow, great for snowballs.
