I see we have more than the minimum number of required zippers signed up for the zipline.
I zipped the day after Thanksgiving. I had to check it out for you guys, right?
It's really a huge amount of fun and I'm glad some have signed up to go.
We are soooooo looking forward to doing this. We've never been ziplining before and can't wait.

I just reconfirmed our reservation at the zipline. Our group, presently at 35 with the addition of my better half, will zip for the discounted rate of $45. They are holding space at this time for about 10 more. There is no limit to how many can go but Wahoo needs to be able to plan ahead for our guides.
We need to arrive at Sterling Springs by 10:30 to harness up. Gentlemen, be prepared for your voice to change to a higher pitch. This means we need to leave the Tabcat Creek gravel parking area by 9:30. This is the large gravel lot on the right at the Tennessee end of the Dragon. I'm coming out of Knoxville that morning to meet you there. Driving the speed limit from Fontana to this lot is about 30 minutes. Your time may vary.
With the size of our group we will zip away about 2 1/2 or 3 hours. This means a late lunch at about 2 or 2:30. Sterling Springs has some small concessions if you find yourself starving.
Tabcat is on the north end of the Dragon. It's a large gravel area that'll be on your right. I'd be happy to meet at the General Store and lead you, if you want. Be warned, I'll be driving the speed limit at all times. If we leave no later than 8:45 AM, we'll make it in plenty of time
I'll be there waiting and watching for you, either in a PW/B MINI with Casper on the A panel and custom chequer stripes OR in a purple classic Mini. Coming from Fontana it's the only gravel parking area on the right as the Dragon straightens out and ends. If you end up with the lake along your left side you've missed it, but I don't think you will.

EDIT: The road doesn't end, but the really twisty part ends.
Hey queen,
A few of us who signed up for the zip line thingy are wondering if it's going to be rain or shine. The weather outlook for Thursday doesn't look good, so we were wondering about cancellation, etc.
I'm sure you have their # but here it is JIC 1-877-924-6621
Is there a way you can let the participants know if it's been cancelled or postponed? I guess email or PM is the only way.
Anyhow, thanks for your efforts.
Katie
Wahoo runs the ziplines rain or shine. They do cancel in the case of lightning/bad storms. The predictions are 40% scattered. I will be at the Tabcat in the AM.
Since I am still in the cabin outside of Pigeon Forge I will meet you guys at the zip line in Sterling springs so we don't have to rush out of our cabin and drive out there and then back here.. See you there.
