Chicagoland or Midwest caravan?

Hey All,

I am really excited about this event. This will be my second major MINI event. The first being MTTS 2008. It was a blast, and I keep hearing good things about MOTD. I was just wondering if anyone from the Chicagoland or Indiana area is planning on attending and if anyone would be interested in caravanning down to NC?

When are you planning to arrive at Fontana? I'm going to leave Indy early morning on Thursday, hope to be at Fontana by early afternoon (about 7ish hour drive if I remember from last year).

I'm heading out of Indy early on Thursday as well. Will have a pop-up camper in tow so I want to make sure I get there well before dark! Don't want to have to pull that trailer through the twisties in the dark .

Let me know when you are heading out and perhaps we can form a caravan.

Thanks for the suggestion, I think I will be a bit ahead of you. I made it down by 1-2pm last year and hope to do the same again, so I can squeeze a couple hour hike on the AT on Thurs afternoon. I'm glad to join a caravan, but would like to stay on a schedule to arrive asap after noon.

We're driving from SE Missouri and leaving on Tuesday. Our plan is to drive to Nashville for the night then finish the trip on Wednesday and arrive 2-3pm. It's only about 4hrs driving each day but that allows us time to stop if we see something interesting to do on the way.
