Considering the trip but got some questions?

Hello all,

First, let me say how excited I am to find my wife so excited about a car club. I have been a open-tracker for years, but she never caught the bug, because she just wasn't as competitive as I was. However, after she got the Mini, she now has the car bug, because, as she says, the car fits her personality.

Anyway, I have a few questions ...

1. Is the event kid friendly? We have a 5 year-old who loves cars too.
2. Can I bring my car to toy around in as well? -- Evo X MR
3. Can you pick and choose which events to do?

Look forward to meeting you all ... thanks.

1. The event is kid friendly. I have taken my 3 boys for the last 2 years. My wife Pamala (Pamalalala) organized Little Dragons, an event on Saturday just for kids. There were 24 registered last year.

2. Yes you can bring your car, there are a number of people who non-MINI vehicles.

3. You can pick and choose only the events that interest you. (all, nothing or anywhere in between)

While NAM is a great on-line community, and the Dragon is a wonderful national event. I suggest that you look into joining a local MINI club in your area, that is if there is one.

Mielnicki said it well. Believe your family would enjoy, and seeing that you are a TurnFreak, you will be grinning from ear to ear after a few runs on the Dragon.

I agree it's kid friendly, with the one warning being to turn off your FRS radios after dinner. Every year there are a handful of folks who seems to take childish delight in foolish and at times obscene banter. I'd bring kids if I had em!

I took my then 12 year old daughter with me two years ago. We had a blast. This year she is now 14 and eager to go.
Family Friendly, YES!!
