I have been asked by a few people if there will be a Dyno at MOTD. Since there wasn't I thought I'd try and get one there for us.
Our Friends at Dyno Dynamics will bring one to MOTD if we can fill up a day.
This is a DRIVE ON Dyno, NOT HUB, like the last dyno at MOTD a few years ago.
This is a super easy, I've used it before, dyno to get on and off, even for lowered MINI'. Here is a pic of it
Here's the details.
They want 50 MINI' prepaid $90 each.
You get 3 runs with Air Fuel readings and a print out of the 3 runs.
On and off in about 10mins each.
We will have fans for intercoolers.
This is a great fun and if you have never had your MINI on a dyno and have thought you'd like to know, now you can.
I don't know of anyone offering ECU Tunes and I don't plan of offering them.
If you will please post up below and let me know if this is something you would pay for on Fri or Sat and we get 50 or more posting up then I'll add it to my MOTD Page at AXC and you can start to pay and book a time window.
The Dyno will be run by a DD Tech with nothing invested in the MINI community to insure accurate readings.
I know there are a LOT of MINI's that have had mods done and NO DYNO's close to them for a HP printout... yes?? This would be a killer way to see what you have ... and the a/f readings!! Would it be 100% ?? who knows.. it will be for that dyno.. and everyone that goes on it will have a great comparison to the other. could be a missed opportunity!! yes??
I think there's two main barriers. One, no one there to Tune. Two, the hard cost with that dyno is setup for the quickie run. Maybe next year when there will be more Tuners in the market and the R56S tunes should also be ready by then.
For the record I don't need to be the one hosting the dyno anyone can do it.
